What Does High Performance Coaching Add to a Junior Golf Camp?

Choosing a golf experience and choosing the right coaching support are two separate decisions. Your golfer might be excited about playing challenging Scottish courses, while also wanting individual feedback on their swing, putting or course management.

At RV Golf Schools, every experience includes two hours of professional group coaching each day. Our optional High Performance Coaching upgrade adds individual analysis and specialist support alongside Ultimate, Hidden Gems or Signature.

Here is how that additional support can help your golfer understand their game and plan their practice.

Start with a useful question

For an experienced junior golfer, useful coaching starts with what they want to understand.

Perhaps they are unsure why a particular miss keeps appearing, find it difficult to judge their putting consistency, or want clearer priorities for practice. These questions give the analysis a purpose.

A low handicap does not mean a golfer has finished learning. Equally, more information is only useful when the golfer understands how to apply it.

Understand the swing and ball flight

Individual video analysis allows the golfer and coach to look closely at the swing. TrackMan measures how the club and ball behave during a shot, helping explain the resulting ball flight.

The value comes from connecting that information with practical guidance. Rather than leaving with a collection of numbers, the golfer should understand the development points discussed with their coach and what to work on afterwards.

Take a closer look at putting

Capto measures the movement of the putter during the stroke. Alongside individual coaching, this helps golfers explore their putting technique and identify specific points to practise.

Putting also involves judgement. Reading greens, choosing pace and approaching different situations are part of the wider specialist coaching available through the upgrade.

Connect technique with decisions

Experienced golfers know that a technically sound shot is only one part of playing well.

Specialist coaching covers short-game shots, green reading, course management and mental skills. These areas help golfers consider how they approach a situation, choose an appropriate option and commit to their decision.

The emphasis is on practical understanding that complements their time on the course.

Take the learning home

Your golfer’s personal CoachNow folder brings together coaching notes, video analysis and key development points from camp.

It provides a record to revisit afterwards and share with their coach at home. This helps connect the camp experience with their ongoing development, rather than leaving them to remember every discussion.

Is the upgrade right for your golfer?

High Performance Coaching suits golfers who want more individual feedback alongside their camp programme. Experienced and single-figure handicap players may find it particularly useful when they have specific questions about their game.

It is optional: golfers can enjoy Signature, Hidden Gems or Ultimate with the included group coaching.

For 2027, the upgrade costs £450 per golfer, per week, with eight upgrade places per week, subject to availability. It is available with Ultimate, Hidden Gems and Signature, rather than Development.
